The Plain Local Schools Foundation and Alumni Association is led by a volunteer board that represents alumni, parents, community members, former educators and advocates for public education.

Suzi Lantz
President
Suzi graduated from Malone University, where she attended on a track and field scholarship. While at Malone, she majored in Secondary Education with an English concentration. While teaching in local school districts, she received the 2004 Rookie of the Year Award. Suzi and her husband Jason have two kids in the Plain Local School District. Caris is in 10th grade where she participates in Cross-Country and Track. Joshua is and 8th grader and participates in Basketball, Ski Club, and Select Band.

Judy Leszczynski
Secretary
Judy Leszczynski graduated from Northern Illinois University with a degree in Education. She also has a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Ashland University. Judy is a retired teacher who spent 27 years as an Intervention Specialist in the Early Childhood Department of Canton City Schools. In addition she was an Adjunct Professor at Walsh University teaching a class in Special Education and one in Integrated Arts. Judy worked with the SPARK program a program that works with preschool children and their families in the areas of literacy and Kindergarten readiness. She also taught Playright, a class for Early Childhood teachers that was based on integrating the arts in all areas of the curriculum. Her children attended Plain Local Schools and she became involved in the Parent groups at their schools especially the GlenOak Booster Club where she served as President for two years. Judy loves to travel and especially enjoys visiting her children and grandchildren who live in Denver and Las Vegas.
Victor Drenta
Victor graduated from Middlebranch High School in the Class of 1956. Vic was a teacher and an administrator in the Plain Local School District from 1960-1993. One of his last roles as an administrator was to be the lead in creating the Plain Local Schools Alumni Association in 1992 as a way to maintain the legacy of Plain Local Schools and create a medium for alumni to connect.
Victor and his wife, Darlene (Middlebranch 1956), raised their two daughters Delaine (GlenOak 1979) and Colleen (GlenOak 1983) in the Plain Local School District. He has been a trustee on the Plain Local Foundation and Alumni Association board since 1992.
Carrie Ball
John Namey
John Namey started working at Oakwood High School in 1973 as a junior-level English teacher. Continuing on at GlenOak High School as a teacher and “Student Life Coordinator”, he taught various grade levels until about 1990 when he was given the job as “Community Intervention Coordinator.” He was adviser to the GlenOak Student Council and was the head Cheerleading Coach until he retired in 2003. Starting in 1984, John also served as the Executive Director of the Ohio Association of Student Councils, coordinating the daily activities of the OASC, as well as, directing leadership training camps and public speaking in Ohio and throughout the United States. He retired from “OASC” in 2011. John and his wife Barbara live in Plain Township and he enjoys golfing and spending time with their grandchildren.
Kim Van Nostran Perduk
Kim Van Nostran Perduk is a 1979 GlenOak High School graduate who has served on the Foundation Board for the last two years, most recently as the Plain Local Schools Alumni Association president. She has been instrumental in developing the Alumni Speaker Series at the high school and the Alumni Reunion Tailgate Party held in September at the GlenOak Stadium (Bob Cummings Field). She is married to Dr. Ambrose Perduk, Jr. who is Vice-president of the Plain Local School Board and together they have 3 sons, 2 of which have graduated from GlenOak. Kim is currently employed as an English as a Second Language specialist for the district, traveling to the various elementary and intermediate schools to provide ESL services. When not attending Plain Local functions her hobbies are reading, traveling and gardening.
Michael Lewers
Michael Lewers graduated from GlenOak High School in 1991 and achieved his BBA in Finance from Kent State University in 1995. In his role as a Mortgage Loan Officer (NMLS #271175) with PNC Bank, he utilizes his more than two decades of home lending experience to assist his clients with confidence. Michael most recently received the PNC “Market All-Star” award in 2017, 2015, & 2014 and has an extensive background in Real Estate Finance, assisting thousands of clients throughout his career.
Michael, with his wife Jennifer are raising their two daughters Angela and Payton in the Plain Local School District. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf, fishing, traveling with his family, and volunteering.
